Tuesday Arrive Malaysia, Penang
Welcome to Penang, an island state located on the northwest coast of Malaysia. Known for it’s rich cultural heritage & vibrant food scene. Guests will arrive throughout the day to our hotel, G-Hotel Kelawai Penang. Check-in is at 2.00pm.
Our first dinner is at one of Penang’s best and grandest Peranakan style restaurants, Kebaya Dining Room. Kebaya applies very innovative cooking methods with traditional Malaysian flavour profiles, while using a modern approach to Classic Straits and Indo-Chinese cuisine. The perfect setting for our welcome dinner.

Wednesday Penang
Today we visit Penang Hill, known as the first colonial hill in Peninsular Malaysia. Set 821 metres above Georgetown. We ride the tram to the top for breathtaking views of the city and visit Penang Hill’s different historical sites. A fantastic opportunity for photos.
We head back down to visit a unique food museum in the heart of Penang where we will explore the origins of the many diverse, multicultural foods of Malaysia. We make the short trip across town to taste some of Penang’s classic favourites for lunch at New World Park Food City. This is where the locals eat. A hawker centre that offers a kaleidoscope of flavours.
Tonight’s dinner is at Tek Sen Restaurant, where we will try a wide range of authentic Cantonese delights.

Thursday Ipoh/Kuala Lumpur
Today we depart for Kuala Lumpur, stopping at the historically charming city of Ipoh. We dine at one of Ipoh’s restaurants, Uncle Long. A favourite for locals, and famous for their char siu and duck rice.
Ipoh is renowned for it’s local white coffee, so after lunch we visit A Jie Café for coffee, kaya toast, and their delicious kuih varieties.
This afternoon, we check-in to our hotel in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. In the evening we visit Jalan Alor Night Market, located in the Bukit Bintang area, a former red-light district that is now home to some of KL’s top culinary destinations. Try the satays, char kway teow, incredible seafood and desserts like ais kacang or goreng pisang.

Friday Kuala Lumpur
Today, we meet the lovely Patricia at Daun Senja Kitchen where we enjoy some local delights. Patricia will take us through the markets and then back to her kitchen. Now, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself in the cooking culture of Kuala Lumpur.
This afternoon, we visit Adrienne’s cousin’s cafe, Ah Gong House. The family residence was converted into a cafe and roastery. Here, we witness a hand brewed coffee
demonstration. Coffeehouses are a huge part of the Malaysian culture.
This evening, we dine at the amazing Gajaa at 8. A vibrant, cultural experience also featuring local art. Discover the rich royal, South Indian cuisine

Saturday Kuala Lumpur
Today we travel to Chin Swe Caves Temple. We embark on a cultural journey through time and enjoy the magnificent mountainous landscape from the temple. Lunch will be in
Gohtong Jaya at Loong Kee, famous for their crispy pork belly in a sweet sauce. In the afternoon we visit the hills of Gombak to the world renowned Batu Caves, a lime
formation of caves. A beautiful natural landscape and place of worship. The most famous temple site, also known for it’s 272 rainbow coloured stairs.
Tonight’s dinner will be an authentic Malay-Indo experience at one of Kuala Lumpur’s most popular restaurants. The best of both Malaysian and Indonesian flavours are served at Dancing Fish.

Sunday Melaka
We visit the cultural mash-up of Melaka. This city was founded by the Portuguese in the 15th century and then came the Dutch, followed by the British. We do a walking history tour of this great city, trying local delicacies along the way. Jonker Street is part of this experience. Jonker street is located in the heart of the city’s Chinatown.
Before dinner we take a relaxing sunset river cruise down the ‘Venice of the east’ seeing the sites like Church of St.Francis Xavier, Kampung Morten, and the Pasar Bridge, built in the
1500’s.
This evening we eat at Salud Tapas Bar & Restaurant. Certified by the Spanish government as a “Restaurant of Spain”, a certification only reserved for very few restaurants around the world. Definitely another great experience on this food trail. Spain and Portugal were originally unified under the Ibarian Union when they ruled Melaka.

Monday Kuala Lumpur
This morning we jump on the open top bus tour of Kuala Lumpur city centre, highlighting the wonderful sights of this city, including the King’s Palace & the National Mosque.
Followed by lunch at the beautiful setting of Damascus Restaurant, a visual and sensory feast in elegant surroundings with Middle Eastern flavours.
We end our tour in Malaysia with a farewell fine dining experience at Bijan followed by a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers. They stand 452 metres high. The perfect photo opportunity overlooking this incredible city.
We make our way back to ground level to enjoy the KLCC Lake Symphony Water Fountain Show to conclude the tour.

Our tour concludes, check out is at Midday, with time to do your last minute shopping.
